A family atmosphere makes for a fun and relaxing meal. Burgers and dogs are the specialties along with the purple shakes. Kids love this place. The food is not bad but, if your looking for gourmet, this is not your place. The shakes are absolutely great. Service is friendly and attentive.

Best Burger in town
We have been going to the purple cow for years, and have always had a fabulous experience. Our most recent visit was exceptionally nice. We took our whole family in after a day at the beach, and had great service as well as food. Their food was excellent I had the best burger I have ever tasted, and my friend said their crab cakes tasted awesome. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for fast service, great food, and reasonable prices.

Bathrooms not too clean
WOuld like to have seen cleaner bathrooms but the food is good. Good shakes and the value for the kids is comparable.

The purple and black building is cool
The kids think it is fun to go there. We only get ice cream because I think the restaurant is kind of dirty. We can see them serving ice cream so I'm okay with that. If the bathrooms are dirty, which they are then you wonder about the kitchen!

Restaurant
The shakes are thick and good and the little kids love it. A favorite place for the grandkids to go when they visit.

Great Shakes
Though a little pricey the milk shakes were unbelievable. Any hot day if you need a good classic shake stop by.

" A swank soda shop"
The Purple Cow has a 1950's air but not a lot more for the money. The soda fountain items are good but a bit dear. I did not eat there.

Good Diner
Cool place to go for a great-tasting inexpensive meal and/or dessert. Staff is always nice and the new greenbrier location is just as good.

Never go back
We went here for lunch one time. We ordered a Chicken sandwich with fries. The waitress went to place the order and didn't come back for 15 minutes. When she finally came back, she told us that they were out of chicken. It took 15 minutes to figure this out?? We changed our order to a burger that was over cooked and cold fries. We were here for over an hour and maybe spent 10 minutes eating, the rest was waiting for the poor service. Never again
